This section is dedicated to my experience attending the 2006 edition of the Computer Aided Architectural Design course held by prof. Antonino Saggio.
Now the notes taken during the 2006 CAAD course lessons have been uploaded on the site. The content of the lessons should be considered intellectual property of prof. Antonino Saggio.
I just finished and submitted my proposal for the caad'06 logo. It is a photo-composition mixing the '06 course's leit-motif, the artichoke, with the paradigmatic example of Frank O. Gehry's Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, one of the milestones of the "third wave" in architecture.
Together with Stefania, Alberto, Andrea and Aurora we formed the StreAM group for the final part of the CAAD'06 course. The aim is to address the cultural and isolation crisis in the suburbs of Rome through a web of buildings that can function as a gate to other parts of the city and other communities as well as a catalyst for new culture.
I updated my concept page with the project addressing the need for a modern worship and meditation structure. Shattered Mirror.
Finished my self portrait assignment and published it in the concept section. I also added a review of the book by A. Ladaga & S. Manteiga Strati mobili. Video contestuale nell'Arte e nell'Architettura from "the IT Revolution in Architecture".
"...overcoming the old diktats of coherent, unified and organic qualities in the most successful cases brings greater success precisely because of the much lauded functionality. In fact, in breaking the diktats, the different components of architecture are "liberated". Often a fuller and closer resolution to each of the components in play has found."
Added a comment on the article "New Substances" by prof. Antonino Saggio.
Added the complete concept on Spiritual Crisis and Information Technology for submission to the 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Environments 2006.
Prof. Antonino Saggio from the Computer Aided Architectural Design course has requested his students to build a website - a rather obvious request since the course revolves around the use of Information Technology - so I'm taking this request as an opportunity to finally purchase a web domain.
